DESCRIPTION:You are all welcome to join us on multicultural festival in period from 21st to 28th of April where you can connect with people of various cultures\, learn about the history\, origin\, customs and current situation of minorities in Slovakia’s society. Join different workshops\, public discussions\, enjoy various concerts\, exhibitions and listen to life journeys of interesting people. \nThe Fjúžn Festival has been organized by the Milan Simecka Foundation since 2006. The main aim of the festival is to bring people the most diverse cultures\, to raise awareness about the new minority in Slovakia\, presenting the life of foreigners and inform the public on issues of migration and multiculturalism. \nDuring one whole week the Fjúžn festival focuses on new minorities who live in Slovakia\, where you can check out a number of colorful events – concerts\, dance and theatre performances\, film projections\, debates\, workshops or informal meetings with interesting people from around the world. \nIn the early years when the festival took place it was called Week of New Minorities. Initially it was a chamber music event\, which grew each year until it became a small city festival\, which is now one of our regular spring cultural events of our increasingly growing capital.
